Funeral Services for Thelma Burnett, age 89, of Broken Bow

Funeral Services for Thelma Burnett, age 89, of Broken Bow, will be held on  Wednesday December 14, 2011 at 10:30 AM at Govier Bros. Mortuary in Broken Bow with Reverend Roger Sloan and Reverend Seth Bates officiating.  Burial will be in the Broken Bow Cemetery with Govier Bros. Mortuary of Broken Bow in charge of the arrangements.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM at Govier Bros. Mortuary.  Memorials are suggested to the Custer County Foundation for an Education Scholarship, American Cancer Society or the Donor’s Choice. 

Thelma is survived by her three daughters Connie (Dave) Stunkel of Broken Bow, Bonita (Rodger) Ritchie of Broken Bow, and Sandy (Joe) Shea of Broken Bow, a daughter-in-law Patsy Burnett of Broken Bow, 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Thelma was born on June 6, 1922 at Lillian, Nebraska to James Walter and Minnie Louise (Loffel) Elliott.  She was married to Melvin Burnett on November 7, 1943.  Mr. Burnett died in 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband, sons Victor and Marvin, grandson Jason Ritchie and great grandson Trace Ritchie and a brother Harold Elliott.
