Severe Weather Poster Contest for 4th Grade Students

According to an article on The Associated Press, fourth-grade students across Nebraska are being asked to put their artistic skills to work to raise awareness about severe weather. The National Weather Service and State emergency management officials are sponsoring the Severe Weather Awareness Poster Contest. Posters will be judged on originality, effort and accuracy and may address any aspect of severe weather safety. Organizers say tornadoes, lightning and flooding are good topic choices. The top prize is a $200 gift card and second place will be a $150 gift card. The deadline to enter is February 24th, posters will be judged in the first week of March.
