Funeral services for James R. Franssen, age 71, of Broken Bow

Funeral services for James R. Franssen, age 71, of Broken Bow, will be Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, at 10:30 a.m., at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Broken Bow with Father Jim Hunt officiating.  Burial will be in the Broken Bow Cemetery.  Rosary will be Wed. Feb 1 at 7:00 p.m. at Govier Brothers Mortuary with the Knights of Columbus officiating.  Visitation will be Wednesday  8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Govier Brothers Mortuary and Thursday 8 a.m. to service time at St. Josephs Catholic Church.  A memorial will be designated by the family at a later date. 
 
Jim Franssen is survived by his wife Sharon Franssen of Broken Bow, 2 daughters Suzanne (Eric) Parker of Lyons, Co., and Jennifer (Jeff) Puetz of Denver, Co., a grand daughter Macie Parker.  1 brother Larry (Cheryl) Franssen of Callaway, Ne., 2 sisters Ruth Overgard of Callaway, and Virginia (Jerry) Moheng of St. Paul, Ne.,  A neice Kristie Vital that they help raise and several nephews and neices.  Jim was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Wayne and a brother Dale and his wife Cheryl.
