Dale & Linda Zoerb's Property Damaged from Storm Sunday

Dale and Linda Zoerb had just returned from church on Sunday and were sitting in their kitchen around noon. The Zoerbs live a few miles West of Litchfield on the North side of Highway 2.  It was hailing, raining and the wind was blowing. Zoerb said when they decided they should go to the basement, the door wouldn't open, apparently from the pressure of the unconfirmed tornado. Zoerb also said he has a meter that registers wind speed and it registered 80 mph at the peak and that someone from town came out and said that they saw a tornado drop down over Zoerb's place. Zoerb said they lost a 60' x 120' building and had damage done to other buildings, including the house which has a bowed roof and wall. With the help of their friend Jim Coleman and others, the majority of the debris had been cleared by Tuesday morning. As we walked through the property nails, screws, and other odds and ends pieces were apparent. There are also still large pieces of the tin building in the pasture west of Zoerb’s home.
