Custer County Accidents Saturday, Sunday & Monday

Broken Bow Fire & Rescue were called to the scene of a motorcycle accident on Saturday around 9:00 pm approximately a half mile South of Gates. Dwaine Birch, of Burwell was driving the motorcycle and hit a large white bull. Birch was taken by ambulance to Jennie M. Melham Memorial Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. The motorcycle passenger, Stephanie Birch also of Burwell received minor injuries. Arnold Fire & Rescue were called to the scene of an ATV rollover crash just before 8:00 pm Sunday night. A juvenile male was trapped under the ATV. The young boy was transported to Callaway Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Broken Bow Fire & Rescue were called to the scene of a one vehicle rollover North of Highway 70 on Road 444 Monday morning. Shelby Caulfield, 21 of Broken Bow was Northbound in a 1994 Ford Explorer when she came over a hill and lost control of the vehicle. The Explorer rolled in to the East ditch and Caulfield was ejected. Caulfield was taken to Jennie M. Melham Memorial Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries and later flown to Kearny for more extensive care.
