County Assessor/Deputy County Assessor Examinations in August

The Nebraska Department of Revenue announced that the examination for the Nebraska County Assessor and Deputy Assessor Certification will be given on Thursday August 23rd. The examination will be given at the State Office Building, Second Floor, Nebraska Department of Revenue Training Center, 14th & M Streets in Lincoln from 9:30 am until 3:30 pm. Certification and eligibility to hold office as a county assessor or deputy county assessor requires successful completion of this examination. Applications must be submitted along with he applicable fee, no later than August 13, 2012. Nebraska law prohibits an individual from filing for or being appointed to , the office of county assessor or serving as deputy county assessor without a valid Nebraska Assessor Certificate. In addition, this certificate is required to be eligible to file for, or assume the office of, county clerk acting as an ex-officio county assessor.
