A strong Nebraska State Patrol force will monitor the highways over the holiday weekend
A $22,000 grant will allow for extra troopers on the roads
Motorists traveling Nebraska roadways over the long July 4th holiday weekend can expect to see a strong Nebraska State Patrol presence. The equivalent of 46 extra troopers will be on the road, thanks in part to a nearly $22,000 grant from the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety. Special enforcement efforts will focus on enforcing safe driving practices with an emphasis on removing impaired drivers from our roadways. Troopers and dispatchers will put in overtime hours beginning in the early afternoon Friday, July 3 and continuing through the evening hours on Sunday, July 5.
